Sight Concern Bedfordshire

Sight Concern Bedfordshire is a local, independent charity dedicated to supporting blind and partially sighted people, their families, and carers throughout Bedfordshire and Luton. Our mission is to help individuals affected by sight loss live full, active, and independent lives.

We offer a wide range of tailored services and support, working closely with the NHS, Local Authorities, and other community organisations. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with sight loss for some time, we can help you access the support you need to continue enjoying your favourite activities, stay connected with loved ones, and maintain your independence.

Our services include:

  • Information, advice, and signposting to local and national sight loss organisations
  • Support for daily living tasks, such as cooking, making drinks, using the telephone, and writing
  • Mobility training to help you complete local routes independently
  • Guidance on accessing specialist equipment
  • Social opportunities to reduce isolation and encourage active participation in the community

We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and communities. If you or someone you care about is living with sight loss, simply call us to find out how we can help.

Visits to our Bedford and Luton offices are by appointment only.
