Victoria Hospital, Deal is a welcoming community hospital offering urgent treatment, inpatient care, and outpatient clinics for people in Deal and the surrounding area.
Our inpatient unit, Elizabeth Ward, provides rehabilitation and intermediate care in a friendly, supportive environment. We have 22 beds and a dedicated multidisciplinary team (MDT) who work closely with you, your family, and carers to create a personalised care plan. Our goal is to help you regain independence and prepare for a safe return home.
- Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC): Open 8am to 8pm every day. If your condition is not urgent, please call NHS 111 before attending to book an appointment. Walk-ins are assessed on arrival.
- X-ray services: Available 9am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday (closed 12.45pm to 1.30pm).
- Rehabilitation ethos: We encourage patients to get up and dressed each day and participate in activities that support recovery and well-being.
- Visiting times: 1pm to 8pm daily, with flexibility for morning visits if relatives are providing care. Two visitors at a time, with exceptions for special circumstances. Children are welcome.
- Facilities: Free car park for visitors and refreshments available from the League of Friends shop.

Admissions: You will need a referral from your GP or from a team in an acute hospital. On admission, you will meet your named nurse and receive detailed information about your care. The MDT will ensure all support is in place before discharge.
