Are you or someone you know living without essential household appliances? The White Goods and Home Essentials Scheme at Catshill Baptist Church is here to help households in Bromsgrove District who are experiencing appliance poverty or exceptional financial difficulty.
We provide one large item plus homewares basics (if required) per application from the following list:
- White goods – microwaves, electric cookers, fridges, fridge/freezers, kettles, toasters, slow cookers, and washing machines
- Cookware basics
- Crockery & cutlery
- Bed linen packs
- Emergency room heaters
Eligibility criteria include:
- Residence in Bromsgrove District
- Households with dependent children, one parent families, those receiving care/support from the local authority, or vulnerable due to violence, homelessness, or domestic abuse
- Receiving housing benefit, income support, income-based Job Seekers Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, or Universal Credit
- Experiencing exceptional financial difficulty, disaster, or emergency (such as fire, flood, or bereavement)
All requests are considered individually and treated in strict confidence. Applications can be made by a support worker, housing officer, or similar, or you can apply directly.
