The Eddystone Trust offers free training for professionals working in Devon and Torbay, focusing on sexual health and HIV awareness.
Our training is designed to help you have more effective sexual health conversations and to ensure your service is HIV inclusive. We offer:
- Thrive Training: Open to all services in Devon and Torbay, these sessions focus on HIV awareness, the current landscape for people living with HIV, and the stigma they face. Ideal for health and social care professionals who want to be HIV inclusive.
- The Fundamentals of Sexual Health: Two modules covering key topics:
- Module 1: Sex and the law, consent, and the impact of the digital world and pornography on sexual behaviour.
- Module 2: Making sexual health less taboo, discussing why people have sex, contraception, and access to testing.
These courses are primarily targeted at those working with young people, but are also suitable for professionals working with adults.
All training is free of charge for professionals in Devon and Torbay. If you work with people with poor sexual health outcomes and need a bespoke training package, email us to discuss your needs.
