The Centre for Ageing Better is a charitable foundation dedicated to making ageing better a reality for everyone. We tackle inequalities in ageing by working to make workplaces, homes, and communities more inclusive of older people. Our mission is to build an Age-friendly Movement, challenge ageism, and ensure that society sees ageing in a positive and realistic way.
Our work focuses on three key areas:
- Age-friendly Movement: Promoting positive attitudes towards ageing and supporting communities to become more inclusive.
- Age-friendly Homes: Advocating for safe, accessible, and suitable housing for people as they age.
- Age-friendly Employment: Supporting older workers and tackling ageism in recruitment and workplaces.
We believe that everyone has the right to a good later life, with access to good health, financial security, and fair treatment. Our strategy for 2022-25 builds on existing work and aims to further improve later lives across the UK.
