Dementia Friends

Dementia Friends is an initiative from Alzheimer’s Society that aims to increase understanding of dementia and inspire people to make a positive difference for those affected by the condition in their communities.

By becoming a Dementia Friend, you’ll learn more about what it’s like to live with dementia and discover simple, everyday actions that can help support people living with dementia.

  • Join online or attend a Dementia Friends Session – available both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Watch a short online video to get started and learn practical ways to help.
  • Volunteer as a Dementia Friends Ambassador and deliver sessions to others.
  • Organisations can get involved to help their colleagues become Dementia Friends.

Whether you’re an individual, carer, or part of an organisation, Dementia Friends offers a welcoming way to learn, connect, and make a real difference for people living with dementia.

Sign up today and join over 3.8 million Dementia Friends supporting people with dementia across the UK.
