Memory Matters provides non-urgent preventative support to solving issues around memory loss to prevent crisis and escalation in a non-clinical environment
Memory Matters has been providing a person-centred and solution-focused approach to support those worried about their memory, awaiting a diagnosis, or needing further support following diagnosis for over a decade and more recently in the last 6 years from Moments cafe in Plymouth City Centre.
The team are very experienced and has worked in statutory dementia services at a senior level within the last 5 years and is, therefore, proficient in managing an array of issues.
The support is a face-to-face or telephone discussion to assess the immediate need, guide, listen and connect with local organisations or statutory services and is a great first step for those seeking support in a non-clinical environment.
- Problem-solving memory loss and carer issues
- Understanding and guiding towards appropriate services
- Linking those affected by dementia into VCSE and statutory services as appropriate
