WorkWell is a joint initiative from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), designed to help people with health conditions and/or disabilities stay in or return to work.
What does WorkWell offer?
- Early-intervention work and health assessment.
- Light touch, low-intensity support tailored to your needs.
- Help to address work and health challenges and overcome barriers to employment.
- Access to general support, information, guidance, and connections to local services via telephone.
- Face-to-face work and health coaching available if required.
Who is WorkWell for?
- Anyone aged 16 or over.
- People living in or registered to a GP in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
- Individuals with the right to work in the UK.
- Anyone experiencing barriers to employment due to health conditions or disabilities.
WorkWell supports those in work, those needing help to return to work, and those out of work for up to 6 months due to health-related barriers. If you need more complex or longer-term support, WorkWell can connect you to other services.
How to access WorkWell:
- Refer yourself or someone else by calling your GP surgery and requesting a referral.
- Use the online referral forms for your local Primary Care Network (PCN).
- If your PCN isn’t live yet, join the waiting list via the contact form.
Employers: WorkWell provides expert guidance to help your employees manage health conditions and remain productive. You can refer employees with their consent and access resources to support workplace conversations about health.
Cost: This service is free for eligible individuals.
