WorkWell Coventry & Warwickshire

Warwickshire WorkWell

A new pilot service aiming to help people with health conditions to return, remain or succeed in work.

• A Partnership between Warwickshire County Council, Coventry City Council and Coventry and Warwickshire ICB, delivered by Warwickshire County Council.
• Part of a broader aim to better integrate work and health, recognising the links between good employment and good health and wellbeing, and providing early support.
• An 18-month voluntary pilot, expected to evolve prior to evaluation.

WorkWell supports patients who:
• Have a health barrier that prevents them from working or
• Are at risk of falling out of work due to their health condition or
• Are on sick leave from work…and want support to return to or remain in employment.

In Coventry & Warwickshire the service is initially specifically targeted to individuals who have a low-level mental health condition*.
The service provides:
• An opportunity for patients to talk about their health-related barriers to work with a Work & Health Coach (‘Journey Guide’).
• A Personalised support plan and follow up (following an initial assessment).
• Connections for patients to local health services and resources.
• Access to barrier breaking workshops.
• Opportunity to upskill and gain additional training and qualifications.
• Advice on workplace adjustments.
• 1:1 support and coaching throughout the return-to-work process.
• Links to employers (where relevant and explicit consent).
