BSL Therapy

SignHealth’s Psychological Therapy service provides specialist mental health support for Deaf people across England and Wales. Our team offers therapy in British Sign Language (BSL) and English, making mental health care accessible and tailored to the needs of Deaf individuals.

If you’re feeling different from usual, struggling with everyday activities, or want to learn more about mental health conditions, we’re here to help. We support people experiencing anxiety, depression, and other common mental health challenges.

  • Therapy delivered via secure video calls – accessible wherever you live in England or Wales.
  • Self-referral available – you can refer yourself or a loved one directly through our online form.
  • Resources in BSL – our BSL Health Video Library offers self-help guides and information about mental health.
  • Support for professionals – we accept patient referrals and provide information for clinicians working with Deaf clients.

Our service is free for eligible clients and funded by the NHS. We are the only NHS therapy service dedicated to Deaf people with anxiety and depression.

How to access:

  • Text, email, or call our therapy team to discuss your needs.
  • Complete our online self-referral or patient referral form.
  • We’ll assess your needs and match you with the right therapy or counselling support.
