East Berkshire Safe Haven

East Berkshire Safe Haven offers free, welcoming, and non-judgmental mental health support for adults in emotional distress or crisis. Our comfortable, non-clinical environment is staffed by experienced mental health professionals who provide emotional support, information, and practical help.

What we offer:

  • Walk-in support – no referral or appointment needed
  • One-to-one emotional support from trained staff
  • Help with creating staying well and crisis plans
  • Guidance to access other useful services and organisations
  • Virtual support via telephone and video call
  • Collaboration with GPs, Community Mental Health Teams, Crisis Teams, A&E Mental Health Liaison, Police, Ambulance, and Street Triage
  • Access to our 24/7 helpline for emotional support and information when the Safe Haven is closed

Who can use this service? Anyone aged 18 and over is welcome. You do not need a formal referral or appointment.

Opening hours: 5pm–11pm, every day (including bank holidays and weekends).

Location: 54 High Street, Slough, SL1 1EL

Cost: All support is free of charge.

Important: The Safe Haven is not suitable for urgent medical attention (e.g. after self-harm). For urgent care, please attend your nearest A&E or call 999.
