Samaritans

Samaritans is here for anyone who needs someone to listen. If you're struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or experiencing suicidal thoughts, our trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to offer confidential, non-judgmental support.

We believe that every life lost to suicide is a tragedy. Our mission is to prevent suicide through the power of human connection. Whether you need to talk, want to support someone else, or are seeking information, Samaritans is ready to help.

  • Free helpline: Call 116 123 any time, day or night. It's free from any phone.
  • Email support: Reach out via jo@samaritans.org for a written response.
  • Write a letter: If you prefer, you can write to us at Freepost SAMARITANS LETTERS.
  • Find a branch: Visit your local Samaritans branch for face-to-face support.

We also offer resources and guidance for people worried about someone else, support groups for those bereaved by suicide, and information for workplaces, schools, and health and care professionals.

We listen. We won't judge or tell you what to do. You don't have to go through difficult times alone. Contact Samaritans today and let us help you find hope and support.

All services are free and confidential.
