Sussex Community Development Association

Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) works across East Sussex to support community-based projects that make a real difference in people’s lives. Our services are designed to tackle loneliness and social isolation, improve health and wellbeing, and increase economic stability for local residents.

We offer a wide range of support, including:

  • Community Advice: Money advice, carer support, tackling loneliness, and welfare benefits helpline.
  • Community Food: Community supermarkets and food partnerships to help those in need.
  • Mental Health & Counselling: Bereavement support, low-cost counselling, and support for survivors of suicide.
  • Employment Support: Programmes to help people connect to work, level up their skills, and access training and support into employment.
  • Children & Families: Holiday activities, family learning, and youth counselling.
  • Inclusion & Social Enterprise: Support for refugees, asylum seekers, and community inclusion projects.

Our friendly team is here to help you find the right support, whether you’re looking for advice, practical help, or ways to connect with others in your community. Many of our services are free or low-cost, and we welcome everyone from all backgrounds.

To learn more about our projects, get involved, or access support, please visit our website or contact us directly. We’re here to make a difference—together.
