Sew Sessions

Join our Sew Sessions at The Sew In Group!

Come and experience our vibrant community of creative hobbyists in our Rochester sewing studio. Our Sew Sessions are designed to help you build confidence on the sewing machine, develop new skills, and connect with fellow makers. Whether you want to work on your own projects or follow our regular group activities, you'll receive friendly guidance and support from our experienced team.

  • Flexible sessions: Mondays and Tuesdays, 6.00pm-8.30pm
  • Bring your own project: Work at your own pace, with expert help available
  • What to bring: Your pattern, fabrics, trims, zippers, pattern paper, and sewing kit. You may bring your own sewing machine and manual, or use our on-site resources.
  • Small group sizes: Maximum 8 students per session
  • Start anytime: Booking is essential. Please email your preferred dates.

Pricing:

  • £100 for 4 sessions a month (save £10 with monthly subscription, unlimited sessions, plus 10% off project workshops)
  • £50 for 2 sessions a month (save £5 with monthly subscription, sessions can be spread over two months)

Free & Lower Cost spaces: Available for people on low or no income. Request and complete our form for a discount code via info@thesewingroup.com.

Eligibility: Attendees must have completed our Learn To Sew Beginners Course, a private lesson, or have similar experience (must know how to wind a bobbin, thread a machine, and make a simple sewing project). Please contact us if you are unsure about your suitability.

Service access criteria:

18+ service, Available to all in the Medway and Swale area. Please note that this service cannot accept referrals for people with advanced dementia, unreasonable behaviours or complex mental health problems.
