Kingston Supported Employment Service helps adult residents of the Royal Borough of Kingston who have learning disabilities, autism, or mental health issues to take steps towards employment, training, or volunteering.
We understand that people with disabilities can face extra barriers to finding paid work. Our friendly employment support workers will help you identify your employment goals, create a personalised plan, and support you every step of the way.
- Support includes: CV writing, job applications, interview preparation, and advice on helpful workplace adjustments.
- We can also help with communication with potential employers and ensure your career is a good match for your skills and preferences.
- Our service follows the British Association for Supported Employment framework of Place, Train and Maintain.
- We offer up to 12 months of support, and up to 6 months of in-work support once you start employment.
- Sessions are usually fortnightly, with the option to meet monthly. Support is available face-to-face or online via Teams or Zoom.
Additional services: Peer Support for neurodivergent clients (ADHD & Autism) and the ACES Programme for those needing a faster, more intensive approach.
