The Project is a South Birmingham-based advice centre dedicated to tackling social injustices and transforming lives. Established in 1991, we have over 30 years of experience supporting people aged 16 and over across Birmingham and Redditch.
We offer accredited information, advice, and guidance in the following areas:
- Homelessness Prevention
- Housing Advice
- Welfare Benefits
- Debt Support
- Wellbeing Advice
Our expert team provides confidential, personalised casework to help you navigate local services, secure financial gains, and access the support you need. We are a locally based charity with deep knowledge of the community and a proven track record of making a positive impact.
How to access our services:
- Appointments are required. Our phone lines are open Tuesday & Thursday, 9:30am – 3:30pm.
- Referrals for housing, welfare benefits, and debt advice can be made via our online referral forms.
- Access to our centre is via the rear entrance off Bristol Road South, B45 9PE. Follow the path past six houses to the driveway and continue up to the building.
Who we help: Anyone aged 16+ living in Birmingham or Redditch who needs support with housing, benefits, debt, or wellbeing.

- Living in Northfield Constituency
- Any families and young people living in Selly Oak
- Individuals in South Birmingham with Mental Health Challenges, delivered in partnership with B:CAN.
- Anyone referred by B30 and Redditch Foodbank
