Blue Badge Scheme - Online Application Service

The Blue Badge Scheme helps people with permanent and significant disabilities park closer to their destination. If you have a qualifying disability, you can apply for a Blue Badge to make getting around Wolverhampton easier and more accessible.

Who can apply? The scheme is for people with permanent and significant disabilities. It is not available for temporary conditions. You may also apply if you are terminally ill.

  • Apply for a new badge, renew an existing one, or replace a lost or stolen badge.
  • Blue Badge holders can request a disabled parking bay outside their home (subject to eligibility and a non-refundable admin charge).
  • Applications can be made online, and paying the £10.00 fee during your application will speed up processing.

How much does it cost? There is a £10.00 issue fee for all new, renewal, lost, or stolen badges. If your application is refused, you will receive a full refund.

How to pay:

  • Pay online during your application.
  • Pay by phone: Call the Blue Badge Team and quote your application reference number 'WVBB', plus your name and address.
  • Pay by post: Send a crossed postal order to City of Wolverhampton Council, Blue Badge Team, Ground Floor Civic Centre, St Peters Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1RL.

Processing times: Applications can take up to 12 weeks to process, depending on the evidence and ID provided. Once your application, documents, and payment are received, your badge will be issued within 21 days.

Additional services:

  • Appeals process for refused applications.
  • Report misuse of Blue Badges.
  • Guidance for moving house, lost badges, and renewals.

Contact the Blue Badge Team for help with your application, payment, or any questions. We're here to support you in accessing the parking you need.
