Multicultural Richmond offers free and welcoming English language classes for adults from all communities, including refugees and asylum seekers.
Our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme helps you build confidence, improve your English, and feel more connected to the local community. We work in partnership with Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College to deliver high-quality classes in a friendly, supportive environment.
- Weekly classes at Whitton Community Centre: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9.30am – 11.30am
- Support for Ukrainian refugees: English Level Testing at Crossway, St. Stephen’s Church, Richmond Road, Twickenham, Fridays 5.00pm – 6.00pm
- Whitton Day Centre: 111a Kneller Road, Whitton, TW2 7DT – Basic English, Wednesdays 10.00am – 11.30am
- Vineyard Centre: The Vineyard, Richmond, TW10 6AQ – Elementary English, Wednesdays 10.30am – 12.30pm (until 31st January 2024), then Tuesdays 10.30am – 12.30pm from 6th February

Who can join? Anyone who wants to improve their English, especially those facing linguistic or cultural barriers. We welcome refugees, asylum seekers, and people from all backgrounds.
Cost: All classes are free of charge, thanks to support from the City Bridge Foundation.
