The Avenue Club at Kew Community Trust offers a vibrant timetable of classes, activities, and social events for adults in the local community. Whether you’re looking to get active, learn something new, meet others, or simply enjoy a friendly atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.
Weekly activities include:
- Exercise classes: Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Seated Exercises, Stretch and Strengthen, Balance & Agility, Low Impact Aerobics, and Strength and Impact (by appointment).
- Creative and learning sessions: Art History, Art, Mosaic Art, Creative Writing, Knit & Stitch, Choir, Ukulele, Book Club, Film Club, History Lectures, Italian and Spanish language classes, and French.
- Social and wellbeing: Men’s Wellbeing, Walking Group, Table Tennis, Bridge, Rummikubs, and 2 Course Lunches.
- Practical support: Chiropody and Hairdressing (by appointment), IT Clinic (free).
How it works:
- Most classes are held at The Avenue Club, Kew Community Centre, St Luke’s in The Avenue, Kew, TW9 2AJ.
- Sessions cost between £5 and £10 on a pay-as-you-go basis. Some activities, such as Book Club, Rummikubs, Knit & Stitch, and IT Clinic, are free. Table Tennis and Walking Group are donation-based.
- Some services (Strength and Impact, Chiropody, Hairdressing, Ukulele) are paid directly to the instructor or practitioner.
Who can attend? All adults are welcome. If you’re new, please contact the office before attending your first class.
