HUG (Homelessness Unity Group) Bexhill is a local charity dedicated to supporting people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or vulnerably housed in Bexhill and Rother.
We offer a welcoming, safe space at St Barnabas Church where guests can enjoy hot meals, companionship, and practical support. Our drop-in sessions provide:
- Hot breakfast on Monday and Thursday mornings (8:30 - 11:30am)
- Evening meal on Saturday afternoons (3pm - 5pm, food served until 4:30pm)
- Access to shower and clothes washing facilities
- Friendly volunteers who offer emotional support and help with everyday needs, such as accompanying guests to appointments or assisting with shopping
- Referrals to housing services and other relevant support agencies
We treat everyone with respect and aim to build trusting relationships, walking alongside our guests on their journey to a better place. Our service is not time-limited and we support guests throughout the week as needed.
All are welcome—no referral required. Just drop in during opening hours, or contact us by phone or email for more information.
There is no charge for our services. Donations are welcome to help us continue our mission.
