Simply Walk is a friendly, welcoming walking programme run by Buckinghamshire Council, offering over 70 guided walks across Buckinghamshire. Our trained volunteer walk leaders and backmarkers ensure you can walk at your own pace, so there's no need to worry about being left behind. We encourage you to choose the walk level that best suits your ability.
Who can join? All new walkers are welcome, whether you are fit and active, haven't exercised in a long time, or have been advised to join by a doctor. Simply Walk is designed to be inclusive and supportive for everyone.
Walk levels:
- Level 1: Flat ground, no stiles, up to 45 minutes
- Level 2: Occasional stile and gradient, up to 60 minutes
- Level 3: Occasional stile and gradient, 60 to 90 minutes
- Level 4: More advanced, 90 minutes plus, possibly over more demanding terrain (not officially a 'health walk' but still part of the scheme)
How to register: Please register online before attending your first walk. If you can't register online, paper forms are available from walk leaders on-site.
