Volunteering

Voluntary Community Action East Cambs (VCAEC) is an independent, non-profit registered charity based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We support people and groups across East Cambs through a range of practical services and volunteering opportunities.

Our services include:

• East Cambs Social Car Scheme: Door-to-door transport for people who are frail, elderly, disabled, or isolated. Our volunteer drivers help you get to appointments, shops, and social activities.
• Helping Hands Gardening Scheme: Friendly gardening help for older, disabled, or vulnerable people who need support managing their gardens. Our volunteers assist with overgrown gardens, helping you stay safe and enjoy your outdoor space.
• Volunteering Opportunities: We connect people who want to volunteer with local groups and events. Whether you want to give back regularly or just for a one-off event, we have a variety of roles to suit your interests and availability.
• Resources for Volunteer Groups: Access a wide range of resources, including training, safeguarding guidance, and support for setting up new groups.

• Visit our office at the Rear Offices, Centre E, 24 Barton Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB7 4DE. Please use the entrance at the back of the building.
