**Service Overview**
We offer specialized advocacy support for young people aged 11-17 who have been affected by abuse, including child sexual exploitation. Our services are inclusive and available to all genders. Each session provides a private and confidential environment where young individuals can discuss their experiences and receive emotional and practical support tailored to their unique needs.
**Eligibility**
- Ages 11-17 for advocacy support related to abuse.
- Open to all genders.
- For those under 16, consent from a non-abusive parent or carer is mandatory.
**What We Offer**
- One-to-one support for children aged 5-16 who have witnessed domestic abuse.
- Tailored sessions covering topics such as:
- Understanding domestic abuse
- Anger management
- Emotional wellbeing
- Healthy relationships
**Session Details**
- Sessions can be conducted in-person at the young person's school or online via Microsoft Teams.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate individual needs.
**How to Access Support**
**For Professionals:**
- Refer children and young people using our referral form. Complete the form with the child's details and email it to [bdadvocacy@refuge.org.uk](mailto:bdadvocacy@refuge.org.uk). **Note:** Consent from a non-abusive parent or carer is required for all referrals for those under 16.
**For Self-Referral:**
- Individuals can refer themselves by calling **0300 456 0174** (available Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM) or by emailing [bdadvocacy@refuge.org.uk](mailto:bdadvocacy@refuge.org.uk).
**Service Availability and Fees**
- This service is completely free of charge.
- There is no fixed duration for cases; support is client-led and tailored based on individual needs.

All sessions are strictly confidential. We do not share information without permission unless there is a significant risk of harm.
