Buckinghamshire Family Learning

The Family Learning team run free courses and workshops across Buckinghamshire to help parents and carers build confidence and skills to support their children with their learning and development.

We offer a range of Early Years courses and workshops for parents/carers and their child aged 12 months to five years to attend together. Courses particularly focus on building early language and learning through play. These include, among others: Play and Learn, Story Explorers, Confident Me and Little Music Makers.

If a parent has a school aged child, our online courses are for parents only. These cover English, maths and science (Reception to Year 6) and wellbeing workshops and courses (Year 1 to Year 11), covering areas such as how to support with anxiety, neurodiversity and building positive relationships.

Courses will give parents/carers the confidence and resources to support children at home, making learning fun as well as understanding new teaching methods used in schools.
