The Exercise Referral Scheme helps Huntingdonshire residents become more active and manage health conditions through a supported, personalised 12-week programme. You can join via two entry points: a referral from a registered health professional or a self-referral application. After referral, you’ll be contacted with options and booked in by a named Physical Activity & Exercise Specialist who will support you throughout the programme. There are three access options:
• Daytime option: unlimited gym access Mon-Fri 6.30am–4.30pm plus weekend access and swimming (subject to timetable). Costs: Health professional referral £63 (one-off), Self-Referral £77.50 (one-off).
• Anytime option: unlimited gym access during opening hours plus swimming. Costs: Health professional referral £85 (one-off), Self-Referral £90 (one-off).
• All-in option: same as Anytime, plus access to all four One Leisure Centres, fitness classes (Self-Referral only off-peak classes) and (off-peak) court hire. Costs: Health professional referral £30 per month via direct debit (for 3 months), Self-Referral £33.50 per month via direct debit (for 3 months).
Please note there is no cost to health professionals to refer. The scheme also includes ongoing support from a named Physical Activity & Exercise Specialist, personalised activity programmes, and post-programme options at discounted rates. After referral, there are dedicated self-referral and health professional referral forms to apply, and an After Care Scheme (£10 fee) is available for current members seeking a follow-up appointment.
