Feeling isolated or lonely? The Voluntary Network's Befriending Service is here to help you connect, make friends, and enjoy regular companionship.
We have been running our successful Befriending Network for over ten years in West Suffolk, supporting people who may be living alone or feeling disconnected from their community.
What we offer:
- Face-to-face visits in your own home for a friendly chat and a cuppa
- Telephone befriending for those who prefer or need remote contact
- Flexible options – choose in-person, phone, or a combination
We carefully match people with common interests to help build rewarding friendships. All our volunteers receive a full induction and undertake an Enhanced DBS check, so you can feel safe and supported.
Who can benefit? Anyone in West Suffolk who feels isolated, especially older adults living alone. Our service is designed to reduce loneliness and help you feel more connected.
How to access: Contact Jackie, our Befriending Co-ordinator, to find out more or to get involved. Covid precautions and procedures are in place to keep everyone safe.
