Social Group/Activities, Visually Impaired

Would you benefit from your phone or computer being more accessible to accommodate your visual impairment?

Sutton Vision offers a friendly, practical Assistive Technology service for people with visual impairment. We provide access to a range of tablets, phones, and computers equipped with magnification and speech software. You can try out different devices or get help making your own smartphone, laptop, or other technology work for you.

Our Assistive Technology Co-ordinator can:

  • Help set up accessibility features on your devices
  • Show you how to use home technology such as Amazon Echo and Google smart speakers
  • Introduce useful apps for video calls, listening to library audio books, using social media platforms like Facebook, getting around, and even finding your keys

Support is available through one-to-one appointments in our resource hub, at home, or via our regular groups and workshops, including Tech Talk and Tech Social.
