IKWRO – Women's Rights Organisation provides specialist support for Middle Eastern, North African (MENA) and Afghan women and girls living in the UK who are at risk of “honour” based abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, child marriage, domestic abuse, and other forms of violence against women and girls.
Our mission is to advance the rights of MENA and Afghan women and girls, tackle discrimination and violence, and empower them to access their rights and entitlements in the UK. We are not affiliated with any religion or political party, and we uphold strict confidentiality, never mediating with perpetrators, family, or community members.
Our services include:
- Advocacy & IDVA Services: Support for women and girls at risk of abuse, including advice, safety planning, and help navigating services.
- Specialist Refuge: Safe accommodation for women at risk of "honour" based abuse and domestic abuse.
- Free Counselling: Emotional support for women who have experienced violence against women and girls.
We also offer training and advice for professionals working with girls affected by abuse, and deliver workshops in schools, colleges, and universities on healthy relationships and harmful practices.
All services are free and confidential. We support women and girls across the UK, and our team speaks multiple languages including Arabic, Farsi/Dari, Kurdish, Pashto, and Turkish.
