Leyland Food Bank offers short-term emergency food support to individuals and families in crisis within the Leyland area. Run by The St Vincent De Paul Society and supported by local churches, businesses, and supermarkets, our dedicated volunteers provide temporary relief for those facing hunger.
How it works:
- Visit us in person at St Mary’s Community Centre, Broadfield Drive, Leyland, PR25 1PD, Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 11:30am.
- Our volunteers will provide you with food and can discuss referrals if you need ongoing support.
- You can download and complete a referral form in advance (available in Word or PDF format on our website), or simply come along during opening hours.
What we provide:
- Non-perishable food parcels including tinned meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, rice, pasta, sauces, cereals, tea, coffee, and more.
- Friendly, non-judgmental support and advice about further help if needed.
How to help:
- We welcome food donations (see our website for a full list of needed items).
- Financial donations can be made by bank transfer or cheque (details on our website).
- Volunteers are always needed—contact us to find out more.
Everyone is welcome—if you are in need, please come along. No appointment is necessary. Please note: the Food Bank is not based at the church or church office. All enquiries should be made in person at the Community Centre (under the canopy on the right-hand side of the building).
