Headlight Peer Support Groups offer a friendly, non-clinical space for young people in East Devon who are experiencing emotional and mental health issues. Our groups are designed to help young people connect with others facing similar challenges, build healthy relationships, and establish a supportive network within their community.
What we offer:
- Peer support group sessions in a welcoming, non-judgemental environment
- Opportunities to share experiences, give and receive support, and develop social skills
- Themed sessions covering topics such as self-esteem, building relationships, sleep, emotions, wellbeing, and self-awareness
- Support for difficult subjects including stress, depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, and suicidal thoughts
- 1-2-1 support with a mental health support worker, including ongoing assessments and personalised action plans
- Guidance to help young people manage their mental health, develop confidence, and set goals around education, volunteering, and employment
Where and when:
- Ottery St Mary: Wednesdays 6-8pm at The Station Youth Centre (two age groups: 13-18 & 18-25, running on alternate weeks)
- Axminster: Thursdays 6-8pm at Pippin’s Community Centre (13-18 yrs old)
- Seaton: Tuesdays 6-8pm at Seaton Re:Store cafe (Seaton Hospital) (11-18 yrs old)
