Love London Working

Love London Working is a partnership of 9 housing associations based in London seeking to progress those in long-term unemployment and economic inactivity into work. The program has successfully supported 19,500 customers and helped over 6,000 into employment over 3 years from 2016.

The partnership has extensive presence in many of the most deprived communities in London, communities with significantly higher than average concentrations of people with disabilities, single parents, those from minority ethnic communities and those over 50 and not working. They will use this unique reach to engage participants in a journey to work that begins with an individual assessment followed by guidance throughout a program of proven support models addressing each participants’ barriers to work.

The types of service that we can offer for you: 

• Type of service / support when registered onto Love London Working:
• Access to a Monday Job Club at the Lido centre in West Ealing 
• Tailored one to one support, Information, Advice, and Guidance 
• Help with new CVs or improving current ones
• Support with creating or improving cover letters
• Help with job applications
• Support to improve interview skills and general confidence
• Access to vacancies received by advisor 
• Access to vacancies through Love London Working’s brokerage team and large network including information on job vacancies, voluntary work, training and apprenticeship opportunities
• Referrals could have certain training funded (please note this is on a case to case basis and not guaranteed)
• Once started work, as long as employer details are provided, customer should get some support with travel costs and possible clothes vouchers
• In work support provided to try to ensure customer stays in work or if drops out gets continuous support from the advisor
