Newbury Shopmobility provides essential support for individuals with permanent or temporary mobility challenges. This service is tailored for those with disabilities as well as anyone experiencing reduced mobility due to age, accidents, or illnesses.
**Services Offered:**
- **Mobility Equipment Rentals:** A variety of manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, and electric scooters are available for hire to facilitate shopping and leisure activities in Newbury town center.
- **Aid and Equipment Sales:** We offer an array of assistive devices, including pill boxes, walking sticks, raised toilet seats, and other helpful items for home use.

The service is accessible to all individuals with mobility limitations, regardless of the duration or cause of their condition.

- Newbury Shopmobility is located on the ground floor of the Northbrook Street multi-storey car park. Access is available by car via West Street and Pembroke Road, or on foot from Northbrook Street (between Santander and WHSmith's) or West Street.

- We provide free parking for all Shopmobility users on the ground floor of the car park. Follow the signs to Shopmobility for easy access.
**Booking Information:**
- While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend booking your wheelchair or scooter in advance to avoid potential disappointment. To register for the service, you must visit in person for the first time and present two forms of ID that display your home address. After registration, subsequent usage is as simple as providing your name and registration number.

- A low-cost annual membership fee is required to join. Daily or weekly hire fees apply based on the type of equipment rented and duration. Long-term hire options are also available at a reduced rate.
