Our Active Travel service supports vulnerable adults who are unable to drive or use public transport. We can help them attend medical without having the additional transport worries.
Our volunteer drivers use their own cars, but we also work alongside a partner organisation to provide wheelchair accessible minibus transport where necessary. Although a financial contribution may be required, this is a highly affordable solution, particularly over multiple appointments.
As not everyone has family or friends on hand to support in this way, our services reduce the stress in attending medical appointments, helping to maintain health and wellbeing of the individual.
This service also provides a fantastic volunteering opportunity for those who can drive and are looking to help others in the community.
