Barnardo's East Child & Family Centre in Peterborough offers a welcoming and supportive environment for children aged 0-5 years and their parents or carers. Our activities are designed to help families bond, understand child development, and access expert support from midwifery and health visitors.

What we offer:
- Birth to walking PEEP (Parents as Early Education Partners) course: Supports early language, literacy, and personal skills, helping parents build responsive relationships and extend learning opportunities at home.
- Stay & Play sessions: Safe, stimulating environments for parents/carers and children to play, learn, and prepare for school together. Suitable for toddlers to age 5.
- Baby massage course: Strengthens the parent-baby bond, helps relieve colic, wind, and constipation, and promotes a healthy immune system. Suitable for non-mobile babies. Note: This is the only course with a charge, to cover massage oils. Details are available on our booking form.
- Baby Time sessions: Relaxed sessions for babies (birth to walking) to explore their senses and develop social skills. Parents can make new friends, share ideas, and get information about their baby's growth and development.
- NHS Midwifery Clinics: Appointments only. Call 01733 677266.
- NHS Health Visitors Clinics: Appointments only. Call 0300 029 5050.
- NHS Baby self-weigh: Drop-in session for babies aged 6 weeks plus. Check with the centre for details.
All sessions and courses (except Baby Massage) are free.
