Memory Lane at Gamlingay Eco Hub

Memory Lane is a friendly and informal volunteer-run group for people living with memory loss and their companions. Held at Gamlingay Eco Hub, you don't have to be a resident of Gamlingay to attend—everyone will receive a warm welcome.

This activity is good for wellbeing because:

  • Meeting other people facing similar challenges helps you feel less alone.
  • It is a friendly group with no pressure to chat—you can join in activities or simply relax.
  • The space is supportive and non-judgemental—no one minds if you are tired, forgetful, or not feeling your best.

Founded by Gerry, Kate, and Hilary, Memory Lane helps people living with memory loss (and their companions) connect with each other while enjoying a range of activities. The group meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Each session is shaped by the group's requests and may include singing, music, chat, or arts & crafts. Refreshments are served, and there’s no pressure to stay for the entire session—just come along and see if it’s something you’d enjoy.

Access and facilities:

  • Accessible toilets and ample free parking are available at the venue.
  • Volunteers are on hand to keep you company if you attend alone, but ideally, you should bring a companion.

Cost: This activity is free.

If you’d like to attend, call or email Kate, who manages the Eco Hub, using the contact information provided. If you’re interested in volunteering, contact Hilary via email.
