Seniors Inclusive Tennis

WEDNESDAY, 12:00 – 13.00

DONATION ONLY – all proceeds go to our charity to support the running of our beautiful LiveWell Kew centre.

At LiveWell, our indoor Seniors’ Inclusive Tennis class is for older adults of all abilities.

Run by the highly experienced and welcoming Will from The Performance Advantage, it can be played standing or seated, using smaller rackets and soft, spongy balls, in a supportive environment and all indoors through the year.

From bad backs to knee replacements, sight loss, Parkinson’s, dementia, mental health problems or simply a lack of confidence, everyone is welcome – carers too.

Tennis inspired activities and games offer an opportunity for movement, boosting muscle strength, coordination and balance, and most importantly, fun with others!

Sessions begin with a gentle warm up, passing a ball or balloon back and forth.

Some light stretching is followed by skills practice in pairs, before a rally at the net and finishing with a game of doubles.

All tennis and fitness equipment is provided, with lots of variety and options on offer each week.

We recommend indoor trainers and comfortable layers to remove and add as you warm up and cool down. Also bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the class.

And we’ll always make sure there’s plenty of time for a relaxing chat over a tea or coffee in Café Fika afterwards too!

We hope to see you in the centre!
