B inspired is a local charity located in Braunstone, Leicester.
One of the ways we serve the Braunstone community is through our foodbank scheme and Food Hub. The Food Hub aims to alleviate food poverty in Braunstone. We offer a means-tested, membership-based foodbank scheme, plus additional support and activities such as Cooking on a Budget. The Food Hub is available to people in need living in the LE3 1 postcode area.
The Food Hub offers members independence, choice and affordability to help with the cost of living. Alongside food provision, the Neighbourhood Support Team provides ongoing engagement and encouragement to help residents improve their circumstances and wellbeing. The scheme helps members stretch their money further by building costs into their weekly food budget and saving on products available through the scheme.
When a local resident requests support, we provide a one-off emergency food bag. If longer-term support is needed, they can apply to become a member through a sign-up process to confirm eligibility and understand their needs. Eligible members can then access food provision on a regular basis, collected from b inspired’s Neighbourhood Support Base, Gallards Hill, LE3 1QR.
