Phlebotomy Service

In DGS we provide a walk-in clinic service as well as home visiting for housebound patients. The service is available Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm and on Saturday from 9am – 1pm.

The service is delivered by phlebotomists. A phlebotomist is a highly trained person who collects blood from patients who require diagnostic tests on their blood. This requires a skilled procedure to take blood from a vein in the patient’s arm by using a fine needle and special collection tubes.

You must have a completed blood form from your GP, Consultant, Midwife or other Healthcare Professionals.

We do not see children under the age of 4 years old.
