Multiply is a government funded initiative with the aim of helping adults to improve skills and confidence in maths through a programme of FREE non-accredited and accredited courses.
Maths is used in all aspects of everyday life, from shopping to exercising, and so gaining numeracy skills will allow you to enjoy your work and personal life to the fullest by increasing your confidence in numeracy.
Maths can be seen as something that is difficult to engage with, whereas Multiply is about learning how to utilise maths skills through non-traditional means, such as classes in budgeting, baking, art and digital skills. By undertaking these classes, you can assess your current level of understanding and improve your numeracy skills through engaging workshops that are delivered in various sites throughout the local community. From this point, you will be provided with further development opportunities to continue your progress.
The Multiply programme can help you access free courses if you are eligible under the following guidelines:
- If you’re aged 19 and over.
- If you don’t have a Maths GCSE at grade C or above, or equivalent.
- If you are a UK resident or hold certain immigration statuses.
- Has a postcode in London
